The First Principles studies are taught around the world addressing the challenges to faith and doctrine in each culture. Kip McKean prepared this study series in 1979 with two purposes in mind:
(1) to bring non-believers into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, and (2) to provide a basis for the new Christian to fulfill the Great Commission by “making disciples.”
Through the years, the series has been fine-tuned to meet specific needs. Section One provides a foundation in Christ that can be built on for a lifetime. These first twelve lessons also prepare a person to make a decision of total commitment to Christ and to his kingdom and to celebrate the results. Section Two, prepared in 1989 by Kip McKean, contains four follow-up studies which clarify the Christian’s role in this world. Not only do these studies provide content for several discipleship times, but they also help provide a smooth transition from the First Principles studies into a discipling relationship.
Also in this edition the reader wil find other important information, including two major articles by Kip “Revolution Through Restoration I” (April, 1992) and “Revolution Through Restoration II” (August 1994).
