In Romans, man is described early on as very sinful in behaviour. But the very price of the cross establishes his value as unbelievably high. When we learn to view our sin and our basic value as God does, we can hate sin without hating ourselves. Then we can deal with sin decisively in our lives without being accused in conscience by Satan… It is the grace of God which saves us (Romans 3:24), makes us strong (2 Timothy 2:1), and motivates us to work hard (Corinthians 15:10). Therefore, when our heads understand grace and our hearts feel grace, then our lives will demonstrate grace in action.
