Nothing gets to our hearts quite like questions. We may put up a defense shield when rebukes come our way, but a well-timed question seems to permeate our inmost being before we can deflect the thoughts it provokes. We would do well to recognize the importance of consistently answering personal and challenging questions about our lives and how we are living them before the God of heaven. If we want to see ourselves as he sees us, we will welcome questions that assist us in accomplishing this goal.
With these things in mind, the reason for the format of this study guide is obvious. You will find mostly questions in it. If you take these questions seriously, they will enable you to gain much more from The Victory of Surrender than the initial reading of the book-that’s a promise!
